Albert and Adam

"As I may have told you," as youngsters get older, oldsters get younger. At some point, they converge and share the same abilities, conversation skills, and social expertise.

Meet Adam (great-grandson), who is four, and Pop Pop who is 95. They both share a love of checkers and spending time on the porch swing. A simple life!

Behind the Funny Stories

Meet the Elder Folk behind these tales: Pop is 98 years old, a proud World War II veteran and a member of the Greatest Generation. If you ever meet him and he begins a story with, "I may have told you this before...." you probably have. Mom is a feisty 90 year young woman. Despite suffering a stroke in 2008, she keeps everyone in the house hopping.

Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t change a thing, and every now and then, I have to remind myself, that I'll miss all this when they're gone. But sometimes….I just go crazy with them here and now. As my husband always says, WE signed on for the long haul. Sometimes the WE turns into just ME. I know God will forgive me for sharing these Elder Folktales, I just hope my parents will!
